WORKSHOP WITHIN DESIGN PHASE OF A NEW SWEDISH DONOR PROJECT

The workshop aimed to defined a scope of project activities in detail was held in the period from August 21 to 25, 2022 in Gavle (Kingdom of Sweden), and all as part of the design phase of the new donor project of the institutions of the Kingdom of Sweden to the land administration sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Representatives of the Federal Geodetic Administration, Republic Geodetic Authority of RS together with representatives of Lantmäteriet (Swedish Authority for cadastre and land registry) created the proposal for a new development cooperation project.

Main chalenges of new development and donor cooperation have been identificated in the following areas:

• general capacity building of institutions

• mass valuation of real estate

• Spatial Data Infrastructure (SPI)

• development of geodetic infrastructure

The proposal for a new project and cooperation is planned for a 5 years’ duration and it is planned to be launched in the first half of 2023. Through its implementation, the project will provide significant tangible results for the land administration improvement, with full respect of democratic procedures and contribute to the fulfillment of the conditions for EU integration of BiH and sustainable development goals (UN SDG).

The continuation of the design phase will continue in upcoming months through the individual and team work of representatives of all project participants, and a visit of Lantmäteriet experts to Bosnia and Herzegovina is planned in the second half of September 2022. During the planned visit, consultative meetings will be held with representatives of the Swedish Embassy and Sida's office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
