In accordance with the planned activities of the CILAP project in period March 03-04, 2016 the workshop related to the strategic planning of gender equality in Land Administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held in Mostar.

The workshop was led by Ms. Emina Abrahamsdotter, expert regarding this issues and it was attended by both administrations for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs representatives and representatives of World Bank project “Real Estate Registration" - RERP implementation units.

The objectives of the workshop were:

-          To elaborate a Strategic gender equality plan 2016-2019

-          To elaborate annual Action Plan for April – December 2016

On workshop, participants have concluded jointly that it is necessary to influence the general public since the BiH authorities are obliged to initiate affirmative action to ensure equality according to international standards and national laws. Such measures include preferential treatment or quotas to promote women's access not only to employment but also to education, policy and social protection. Therefore, the first step will be to get acquainted a woman with the ownership right and its registration during the process of harmonization of land registry and cadastral data in both entities.

On this occasion, the draft of Action Plan of activities for the period 2016 has been made with defined results and ways of theirs monitoring during CILAP project period.
