In line with the CILAP Project Annual Activity Plan, a workshop entitled „Establishing Digital Archive and Its Integration in Business Processes“ was held on 2-5 February 2015 in Banja Luka.

This workshop was attended by: representative of the Norwegian project, Mme Maria Lodin, CILAP Project Director, Mme Anđa Zimić, CILAP Project representatives, Consultants Zdravko Galić, PhD, retained by the Norwegian project, and Goran Samuelsson, PhD, retained by the CILAP Project, and representatives of the two entity-level administrations for geodetic and real property affairs.

The theme of the workshop was presentation, review, and checking of the document defining the architecture and technical requirements for the development of a digital archive IT system.

Zdravko Galić, PhD, presented a solution tailored to the needs and specificities of both geodetic administrations. The presented solution spurred great interest among all workshop participants, who took an active part by asking questions and providing comments and suggestions. As a result of the discussion, what needs to be improved was defined, as well as the timeline for revision and finalization of the digital archive IT system document. The timeline for advertising and evaluation of the forthcoming tender for supply of the system was also defined.

The preparations and activities preceding the implementation of a pilot project in the territory of the selected municipality were also discussed.

Performance of the activities and tasks planned in the previous workshop for digital archive was reviewed, and plan and time framework for the forthcoming activities that need to be performed before selection of a digital archive system (define business processes, formats to be used, databases to perform testing on, etc.) were defined.
