Workshop on "Establishing Cooperation with SDI Stakeholders – Data Entry into the SDI Registers" Held in Tuzla

A workshop entitled "Establishing Cooperation with SDI Stakeholders – Data Entry into the SDI Registers" was held on 14 July 2026 in Tuzla. The purpose of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the Law on the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the functioning of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDI FBiH), and to provide training on the use of the SDI Registers application and the process of entering data into the registers.

The workshop was attended by representatives of the following institutions:

• Ministry of Economy of Tuzla Canton,
• Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Tuzla Canton,
• Ministry of Transport and Trade of Tuzla Canton,
• Public Institution Directorate of Roads of Tuzla Canton,
• Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of Tuzla Canton
• Forestry Administration of Tuzla Canton

During the workshop, participants were introduced to the concept of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (SDI FBiH), its organizational model, the legal framework, and spatial data services. Special attention was given to the SDI Registers application, including a detailed presentation of data entry procedures and data management.

In the practical part of the workshop, participants carried out hands-on data entry into the SDI Registers, gaining practical experience in using the application and applying procedures for recording and updating data.

The participation of these institutions represents an important step towards strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and increasing the involvement of SDI stakeholders in the development of the SDI FBiH. The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs remains committed to providing continuous support to SDI stakeholders with the aim of improving the quality, availability, and exchange of spatial data in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
