Workshop Held Under CILAP Project

In line with the planned activities under the CILAP Project, a workshop was held on 08 – 10 July 2014, in Vlašić, with the aim of supporting the geodetic administrations in developing their business plans. The workshop was attended by the highest representatives of the administrations, headed by FBiH FGA Director Željko Obradović and Acting RS RGA Director Miloš Komljenović.

The workshop was facilitated by an expert from Lantmäteriet, Gunnar Lysell, who presented the situation in the Swedish mapping authority concerning the development of its business plans and its business models. He also spoke about the models of cooperation with other public authorities and private companies, the methods of data distribution and the funding of business activities.

The geodetic administrations presented during the mission their current organizations and their existing business plans. There was a joint discussion focusing on an analysis of the current situation and the business plans and a review of the future needs of the geodetic administrations in this field.
A joint farewell dinner with Pelle Persson, Development Cooperation Adviser to the Embassy of Sweden in Bosnia and Herzegovina, was organized as part of the workshop. The directors of the administrations used this opportunity to thank Mr. Persson for the support of development of land administration in Bosnia and Herzegovina and wished him much success in his new post. He expressed his great satisfaction with cooperation with the geodetic administrations and the results achieved under the CILAP Project, promising further support to projects in the field of land administration.
