On 16 and 17 February 2017, there was a two-day workshop for the heads of land registry offices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina involved in the implementation of the Real Estate Registration Project taking place in Sarajevo, at the Hotel Holiday.

At the beginning of the workshop, the attendees were greeted by Ms. Slađana Katić, Consultant for land registry administration in the Project Implementation Unit. After her opening remarks and introducing the agenda, Ms. Katić proceeded to conduct the workshop.

The attendees were also addressed by Mr. Nedžad Pašalić, Head of the Project Implementation Unit, who has graced the event with his presence.

The aim of the workshop is for the participants to share their experiences in the implementation of the Real Estate Registration Project and to harmonize the practices across land registry offices in processing the cases of land registry establishment.

A number of relevant issues have been discussed at the workshop, in particular: fact finding in the process of establishment of land registry folios, how to solve cases of land registry establishment for real estate that has been registered in the land registry as some type of state property, analysis of the appeals already lodged against decisions to establish land registry folios, and many other issues.

The workshop was organized for 24 land registry offices of the municipal courts involved in the project of data harmonization between the cadastre and the land registry.
