WORKSHOP FOR LAND REGISTRY OFFICERS

A workshop for Land Registry Officers in Federation of BiH who are working on replacing and establishing land registers under the Real Estate Registration Project was held in City of Neum on 13 and 14 September 2018.

Mrs. Slađana Lozančić, consultant for land administration in the Real Estate Registration Project led this workshop, and representatives of Land Registry Offices from Municipal Courts in Tešanj, Gračanica, Široki Brijeg, Goražde, Bugojno, Mostar, Livno, Tuzla, Živinice, Čapljina, Kakanj, Orašje, Sarajevo, Travnik, Visoko and Ljubuški participated on this workshop.

In first part of the workshop Mrs. Slađana Lozančić presented current state of the Real Estate Registration Project realization, and then was discussed about the expected period of completion of harmonization of real estate data between the cadastre and the land registry, for each cadastral municipality.

In the further section of the workshop was discussed about ways of dealing with the cases of replacement and establishment of land registry and some specific cases, and about potential solutions. For example, it was discussed about the real estates for which a certain natural or legal person has been entered in a cadastral plot as a landlord, and in the land registry for the same property the registration is State Property, and about the closure of basic land registry on which land ownership has been established, as well as many other topics.

After discussing a series of specific topics in land registry replacement/land registry issues, conclusions were made that would serve all land registry offices as an example in these cases.
