As part of the IMPULS Project, a workshop on the theme „Outcome Mapping of IMPULS“ was held on 16 – 19 February 2015 in Gävle, Sweden, for the national project coordinators. The geodetic authority of the Kingdom of Sweden, Lantmäteriet, hosted this event.
The objective of holding this multi-day workshop was to present to the project participants the meaning of the phrase „Outcome Mapping“, as well as highlight its importance and how this project implementation monitoring principle could be used in the IMPULS Project, namely for planning, monitoring, further training, and progress. With participation of all present national coordinators and through interactive work and with the help of the Swedish experts in this field, the main project outcomes and project progress markers were therefore finalized at this workshop, including the anticipated impact that is expected upon the project's completion.
Also, during the workshop, its participants joined the efforts and worked to define in detail the manner and activities of the project implementation going forward, discussing how to further improve the project's implementation and defining the roles and responsibilities within the project beneficiary agencies. Given the different backgrounds and different needs of all national geodetic authorities from the region, the manners of provision of the support that would focus on the priority national needs, e.g., lack of human capacities, but also on organizing national workshops, were discussed on this occasion.
Denis Tabučić, staff of the Department of Geoinformatics, attended the event on behalf of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBH.
The main objective of the IMPULS Project is for the countries of the region to have a modern and functional spatial data sharing framework in accordance with the regional and international requirements. The objective is also to speed up development of innovative INSPIRE services for better decision-making and achieve data and service interoperability. The project beneficiary countries are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, and Kosovo. The IMPULS Project is funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA), with Lantmäteriet (Swedish geodetic authority) as a partner. The State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia will participate as a Lantmäteriet's junior partner on this project.
