Workshop „Digital transformation, data and AI in the Western Balkan region“

A workshop „Digital transformation, data and AI in the Western Balkans region“ was held in Skopje, North Macedonia on 9-11 December 2021. The workshop was organized by JRC- Joint Research Center, FAO- Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, UN GGIM- United Nations Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management and Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje.

Main workshop goal was the research of digital technology, data and artificial intelligence impact on our societies. The European Commission’s ambition is to become the world's leading region for development and implementation of high-end, ethical and secure artificial intelligence. It is also very important for the European Union that the Western Balkan’s region adopts and take benefits from these emerging technologies, all in context of EU accession.

On behalf of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs the workshop attended Mr. Sead Hadzic, Assistant Director for cadaster and Mr. Denis Tabucic, Assistant Director in Sector for management of public investment program projects, who held the presentation “Data integration and interoperability of services in BiH land administration sector”.
