As part of the project "Digital Enhancement of Land Management for the EU Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina", representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs visited Mostar from 5 to 7 May 2026. The workshop was organised with the aim of strengthening professional capacities and transferring knowledge in the field of mass real estate valuation. The three-day workshop in Mostar was led by Mr Martin Smodiš, an expert from the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia (GURS) with extensive experience in the field of real estate valuation.

The workshop was structured around a series of presentations, analytical sessions and discussions that facilitated an intensive exchange of knowledge and practical experience. The introductory part provided an overview of the progress and results of the tasks carried out by the working group on mass real estate valuation during the period between the two workshops. The focus then shifted to an analysis of the real estate market through a detailed review of data from the Sales Price Register and data quality standards as key prerequisites for building a reliable valuation model. The concluding part of the workshop gave particular attention to the specification of the mass real estate valuation model, along with a discussion of the steps required to prepare and implement a similar system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The workshop represents an important step forward in the development of a modern mass real estate valuation system in the Federation of BiH, grounded in international practices and contemporary technological solutions. Work is currently under way on developing the steps necessary to prepare the specification of a system for analytics and modelling of mass real estate valuation in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
