WEBINAR REGARDING CAPACITY BUILDING OF THE SPATIAL DATA INFRASTRUCTURE

The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs has planned several trainings as part of the projects it is implementing during 2021. Trainings are related to the Spatial Data Infrastructure capacity building and inclusion of many entities and spatial data as possible as well as supporting of inclusion of metadata in the FBiH SDI web applications. All trainings are provided through the Dutch Spatial II project.

Trainings held on 19 and 20 May 2021 have covered following topics:

• Introduction to Spatial Data Infrastructure, metadata and catalog services
• Introduction to SDI concept
• Presentation of the FGA current situation
• The SDI implementation in the Netherlands
• The metadata standards for geographic information
• The demonstration of the Dutch metadata catalogue
• Analysis of the existing metadata implemented by the FGA
• Metadata quality assurance and innovation

All SDI subjects participated in the training, and the next training in the field of FBIH spatial data is planned for June 9 and 10 2021 on the topic of data harmonization.
