The twenty-eighth session of the Spatial Data of the Federation of BiH Council (SDI FBiH Council) was held in the premises of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs on April 19, 2022. The members of the Council participated in the session in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH.
At the session the Council have discussed:
Information on the preparation of a new Swedish donor project,
Information on the possibilities of financing the FBiH Spatial Data Infrastructure Support Project,
Information on launching the LiDAR project recording the territory of BiH,
7. Education - Spatial data infrastructure - importance and benefits in the Netherlands.
The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, as the Coordinating Body of the SDI FBiH, informed the members of the Council about the ongoing activities on the establishment, maintenance and development of the SDI FBiH for Year 2022.
As a last topic on the Agenda, education was organized for Council members on "Spatial Data Infrastructure in the Netherlands", where experts from the Dutch Agency for Cadastre, Land Registry and Cartography (namely Kadaster) presented to Council members steps to establish SDI and importance and benefits of SDI. The Kadaster Agency is also the National Contact Point in the Netherlands, as the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs is in the Federation of BiH in accordance with the Law on SDI. Two presentations were held where Mr. Rohan Bennet presented the IPP management framework, and Mr. Dick Eertnik introduced the members of the Council to the role of Kadaster as a data provider / data producer, with the costs and benefits of SDI. Members of the SDI Council together with the Coordinating Body expressed satisfaction with the education, which showed examples of good practice in Europe.
