THE THIRTY-FOURTH SESSION OF THE SDI FBIH COUNCIL

The thirty-fourth session of the Spatial Data of the Federation of BiH Council (SDI FBiH Council) was held in the premises of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs on February 22, 2023. The members of the Council participated in the session in accordance with the Decision of the Government of the Federation of BiH.

At the session, the Council have discussed:

  1. Determining the Agenda of the 34th session of the SDI FBiH Council;
  2. Approval of the Minutes from the previous 33rd session of the SDI FBiH Council;
  3. Presentation and discussion on “SDI FBIH Strategy 2023-2027”
  4. Information on adoption of Report on the establishment, maintenance and development of SDI FBiH for Year 2022
  5. Information and proposition of the Work Plan for the establishment, maintenance and development of SDI FBiH for the Year 2023
  6. Information on schedule of SDI FBIH sessions for 2023
  7. Other.

At the very beginning of the session was presented draft of prepared document on “SDI FBIH Strategy 2023-2027”, and it was agreed that Federal Geodetic Administration as a coordination body together with the Federal Development Programming Institute continue the process of formal consideration and conduct public consultations in order to inform the SDI FBIH Council about the results.

Federal Geodetic Administration has prepared and submitted the Work plan for the establishment, maintenance and development of SDI FBIH for Year 2023 to the members of the Council for consideration and final adoption. The Work plan which includes the Education plan for 2023 was unanimously adopted by the SDI FBIH Council.

The activities will be divided into targeted activities that will lead to the establishment, maintenance and development of SDI FBiH in accordance with the updated Strategy. Accordingly, during the coming period, the focus of the SDI FBIH establishment will be on involvement of the new entities and sources, improvement of existing technological frameworks and potentiation of network services development at existing spatial data sets.

During 2023, it was planned at least 6 sessions to accompany these activities.
