The sixth session of the United Nations Initiative on Global Geospatial Information Management will be held in New York during period August 01 – 05, 2016. At its sixth session heads of the national administration for geospatial, statistical, cadastral and other data within Member Countires and geospatial data international experts from around the world will be present to discuss the global agenda of geospatial information.
Activities related to sustainable development and Agenda for Sustainable Development in 2030; geospatial information services in cases of disasters; determination of global core themes of geospatial data; trends in national institutional conditions geospatial information management; the adoption and implementation of standards for the global community of geospatial information; integration of geospatial, statistical and other related information, and the application of geospatial information in land administration and management will be discussed during sixth session of UN GGIM.
A formal meeting of the Committee of Experts will be held during August 03 – 05, and session will be preceded by a number of related events and meetings during August 01 and 02, 2016.
