THE 52nd SESSION OF THE SDI FBiH COUNCIL WAS HELD

On September 24, 2026, the 52nd session of the SDI FBiH Council was held within the Conference “Days of Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of BiH”.

The Council discussed the following agenda items:

  1. Adoption of the agenda for the 52nd session of the SDI FBiH Council;
  2. Adoption of the Minutes from the previous 51st session of the SDI FBiH Council;
  3. Presentation within the GeoConnect project: modernization, financing and planning of NSDI's workforce (NSDI modernization, financing, and workforce planning) – prof. Rohan Bennett;
  4. Information on the implementation of the Work Plan for the establishment, maintenance, and development of the SDI FBiH for 2026;
  5.  Information on the implementation of public consultations – guidance on the application of general conditions for the licensing of spatial data in the FBiH and proposal for adoption;
  6. Study design information: Research to determine the level of knowledge/awareness of the benefits of establishing a spatial data infrastructure (SDI) — Phase one;
  7. Information on the development of the Single information system Regulation relevant to the planning of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
  8. Information on the status of submitting a proposal for a member of the Council for SDI of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the next term of office;
  9. Information on the holding of the 7th Conference “Days of the SDI Federation of BiH ”;
  10. Any other business.

Through the discussion, the Council members contributed to the improvement of activities related to the implementation of the SDI of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special emphasis on the planned tasks in 2026, strengthening cooperation with the SDI entities, and active participation in the programme of the 7th Conference “Days of Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina”.
