Representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH and the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of the Republika Srpska visited Sweden on 8-12 September 2014 under „Capacity Building for Improvement of Land Administration and Procedures Project – CILAP“, which is funded by the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden. The objective of the visit was to learn about activities of the Kingdom of Sweden's land administration authorities. As part of the visit, representatives of the geodetic administrations stayed in the City of Gävle and visited the headquarters of the Swedish national geodetic authority Lantmäteriet. They also visited the municipal administration of the City of Gävle and learned about the work of the municipal authorities. They had the opportunity during their visit to Lantmäteriet to learn about its core business and they heard the presentations on:
- cooperation with municipalities and other authorities;
- Lantmäteriet's business plan, models and procedures;
- land administration's role in the society;
- land administration's contribution to positive economic and social development of the society.
Staff of the Gävle Municipality's land administration office delivered a presentation on functioning of the municipal services with a special emphasis on cooperation of the relevant municipal and national authorities and connectivity of the databases.
Representatives of the city authorities showed the main landmarks of their city to the guests from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
