Study visit of Geodetic Association of Herceg Bosnia to the South Tyrol region, Italy

During period October 18- 23, 2016 employees of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs have been on study visit in Italy that is organized by Geodetic Association of Herceg Bosnia (GAHB). The main purpose of this study trip was to visit Geodetic Administration of autonomous region of South Tirol that has jurisdiction on cadastre and land registry records. The delegation of GAHB was warmly welcomed by Mr. Paolo Russo, director and Mr. Christian Tommasini, Vice President of this autonomous region, has gave basic information and introductory speech regarding respective region. With a total area of 7,400 square kilometres, the autonomous region of South Tirol, according to official records, has about 680,000 parcels, 150,000 buildings, and 580,000 parts of buildings. Geodetic Administration of this autonomous region, have competence to register cadastre and land registry data, and carries out activities to establish and maintenance geodetic bases. Through given presentations and mutual exchange of information and experiences, both delegations get acquainted in Land Administration and planned activities in respective countries. The conclusion of this visit is that there are similar issues regarding Land Administration, and exchange of knowledge and experience is good base to find adequate technical solutions.
