Considering the virus Covid-19 pandemic, the Seventh Plenary Meeting of UN-GGIM: Europe was held via online communication platforms on 22 June 2020. Mr. Tomaz Petek, Director of the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia and President of the UN-GGIM: Europe, chaired this meeting.
The UN-GGIM: Europe is a regional committee of the United Nations Initiative on Global Geospatial Information Management, formally based on 1 October 2014 when European members accepted full responsibility for their business and adopted the Work plan. The regional committee led by Mr. Tomaz Petek supervises the activities and reports regularly the UN-GGIM Global Committee of Experts.
At the meeting were presented the reports of the UN-GGIM: Europe working groups and the meeting closed with appropriate presentation, discussion and adoption of the Work plan for Year 2021. Mr. Denis Tabucic, Assistant Director in Sector for management of public investment program projects participated at this meeting on behalf the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs.
