Seminar on Address Register Held

A seminar on address register was held as part of the IMPULS Project on 2-4 December 2014 in Skopje. This seminar, which was facilitated by the experts from Lantmäteriet, Urlika Roos and Magnus Linner, was attended by representatives of all authorities that are involved in the IMPULS Project. On behalf of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs (FGA) of FBiH, the seminar was attended by Ivan Lesko and Adelko Krmek, who are responsible for implementation of the address register related activities under the CILAP Project.

The experts from Lantmäteriet presented during the seminar the Swedish experiences in development of the address register, its use, cooperation of the municipalities and Lantmäteriet, as well as certain applications that are used to maintain and distribute address register data, while the attending representatives of the institutions presented the status of the address register related activities in their countries. The FGA's representatives presented the activities and the results achieved through implementation of the CILAP Project, and there was a special discussion on the INSPIRE address specifications and their implementation in the development of applications in the countries participating in the project.

The expectations from the IMPULS Project in terms of address register were also presented. All participants expressed readiness to continue cooperation and information sharing on development of legal and technical frameworks and other activities that are undertaken to establish address register.
