Representatives of cadastral and cartographic agencies of South East Europe have visited the Kingdom of the Netherlands

Within organization of Dutch Cadastre, during April 23-28,2017 representatives of the Cadastral and Cartographic Agencies of Southeast Europe (SEE) were on official visit to Land Administration Sector of Kingdom of the Netherlands. Reason for this visit is support to Land administration Sector of Southeast European countries, that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands want to provide through the MATRA project (Maatschappelijke tranformatie-social transformation).

Through presentations by the representatives of the Dutch cadastre, representatives of regional cadastral and cartographic agencies got acquainted with the land registry and cadastre records organization in the Netherlands, followed by key registers, spatial data infrastructures, IT system, financial planning and financial processes and services in the Dutch Cadastre.

Interesting were the lectures on the real estate valuation system in the Netherlands.

All these lectures were followed with interesting discussion and a comparison of the current situation in the countries of the region with Dutch systems in the Land Administration Sector.

A special meeting was also held with the representatives of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which gave more detailed description of MATRA project and its implementation to representatives of the region.

At the end of the visit, the regional representatives have expressed great appreciation on the MATRA project and organization of this visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was agreed that representatives of the Dutch Cadastre will visit all cadastral and cartographic agencies of the region with aim to get acquainted with current situation and priorities of each agency. This Project will be the first step in establishment of good cooperation between the Dutch Cadastre and cadastre and cartographic agencies of Southeast Europe.
