Publication of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina web viewer

The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs had three agenda items related to the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Federation of BiH on 249^th regular session of the FBiH Government on 28 December 2020. The session’s members discussed the Proposal on the new convocation of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Council, the Work report for 2020 and information on publication of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of FBiH web viewer.

Namely, it is important to mention significant steps made in the SDI FBiH through the work of FGA, SDI FBiH Council and working groups lately; harmonization of the part of SDI FBiH data according to the INSPIRE directive requirements, update of the web application of metadata catalogue, development the SDI FBiH web viewer, as well as update of the SDI FBiH official website. The viewer can currently view 12 available data sets whose structure is harmonized according to the INSPIRE directive requirements.

The accompanying metadata were filled in for the harmonized datasets and they are available on the SDI FBiH official website through metadata catalogue, web application review and metadata creation according to the INSPIRE directive. The insight into SDI FBiH registers- Register of subjects and Register of spatial data sources is also available, as well as web services available on request to the authorized institutions responsible in charge of working with spatial data within their competence.

When it comes to the other agenda items of the 249^th regular session of the FBiH Government concerning the Federal Geodetic Administration, a new convocation of the SDI FBiH Council was appointed with a new / old president Mr. Zeljko Obradovic, and the Work report for 2020 was also adopted.
