Public Consultations on the Law on Land Consolidation Held

The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH referred on 23 September 2013 the Preliminary Draft Law on Land Consolidation to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for examination.

At the 83rd session of the Government, the Law was approved and referred to the Parliament for approval in the form of a draft.
The House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina discussed the Draft Law on Land Consolidation at its 24th regular session and concluded that it could serve for development of a proposal of the law.

The House of Peoples discussed the Draft Law on Land Consolidation at its 21st session, which was held on 06 February 2014, and concluded also that it could serve for development of a proposal of the law, but only once the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH conducted the public consultations.

The public consultations were held on 16 – 20 June 2014 in Bihać, Tuzla, Livno, Mostar and Sarajevo. They were attended by representatives of the municipal bodies, administrations for geodetic and real property affairs, representatives of the Federation and cantonal agriculture, water management and forestry ministries.

The comments, proposals and suggestions on the Draft Law on Land Consolidation made in the course of the public consultations will be examined by the committee charged with development of the proposal of the law, following which the proposal of the law on land consolidation will be developed.
