Meeting with the President of the Government of Herzegovina-Neretva Canton

A meeting between representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs Mr. Zeljko Obradovic Director, Mr. Denis Tabucic and Mr. Sead Hadzic Assistant Directors, Dr.sc. Nevenko Herceg President of the Government of Herzegovina- Neretva Canton and Mr. Ivan Lesko Director of the Cantonal geodetic administration, was held in City of Mostar on 6 May 2022. During this meeting was discussed on land administration sector projects currently implementing by federal and cantonal administration together with municipalities.

The activities of harmonization between cadastral and land registry data were especially emphasized, and it has been concluded that realization of the Real Estate Registration Project is extremely useful for both, citizens and potential investors. In a part of the project that starts at the end of May current year, it has been planned the harmonization for about 15, 000 parcels and data transmission from the deposited contracts book to the land register for about 25,000 housing units. The harmonization project within the World Bank support has been implemented since 2013 in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton and it have been achieved significant results through its implementation.

At the meeting participants also discussed on continuous work and progress of the address register, the real estate cadaster establishment, digital archive and utility cadaster.

The President of Herzegovina-Neretva Government pointed out that one of the key preconditions for considering serious economic development of an area is certainly the regulated area of cadastral and land registry data, and that the efforts of Federal and Cantonal administrations give good and measurable results with huge strides in this area.
