On October 7, 2025, a working meeting was held between representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs and the President of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, Mr. Damir Batotić, with his associates.
The main topic of the meeting was the continuation of cooperation within the Geospatial Infrastructure and Valuation Enhancement (GIVE) Project, which aims to improve the accuracy and accessibility of land administration data in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The meeting was opened by Mr. Damir Batotić, and key topics of discussion included: the current state of property data, the harmonization of land registry and cadastral data, and the identification of municipalities that will be the focus of work in the upcoming period.
Mr. Željko Obradović, Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, reflected on the results achieved through the Real Estate Registration Project and the Additional Financing, and emphasized that high-quality data is the foundation for successful harmonization of land registry and cadastral data and noted that the current level of harmonization stands at 62%.
The discussion also included an exchange of views on identifying key municipalities within Sarajevo Canton where harmonization of land registry and cadastral data will be carried out in the near future. The multiple benefits and significant savings that project can bring to Bosnia and Herzegovina were also emphasized. At the end of the meeting, participants agreed on the need to continue the successful cooperation established so far, with a recommendation that similar meetings in the future be held at a higher institutional level in order to ensure more effective coordination and the achievement of shared goals.
