Land and Property Valuation Learning Week

The Land and Property Valuation Learning Week was held in Seoul, Korea, from May 22 to May 26, 2023. The Learning Week is organized by the World Bank’s Urban, Resilience and Land Global Practice and the focus was on strategies and best practices for real estate valuation.

The objective of this Learning Week is to provide a platform for participants to gain knowledge and share experiences on real estate valuation infrastructure and systems. The Learning Week featured a series of learning sessions and knowledge exchange activities covering topics such as real estate valuation, mass valuation for recurrent property taxation, land price information systems, and transparency in real estate markets. Moreover, the Learning Week entail discussions about the use of valuations for other sustainable development objectives, including for land acquisition, and include relevant site visits.

This event was closely coordinated with the Korea Real Estate Board (REB), under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) of the Republic of Korea. The Learning Week was attended by representatives from several countries.

As a representative of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, Ms. Jelena Zelić participated in the session on the valuation of real estate by delegations that are not members of ASEAN (Asia) and in the panel discussion related to the topic "Improving the mass valuation of real estate for tax and other purposes".
