JOINT WORKSHOP OF IMPULSE AND BESTSDI PROJECTS

A joint workshop of two projects- IMPULSE and BESTSDI was held in Banja Luka (Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy) in period of 23-25 April 2018. Both projects transferring knowledge about spatial data infrastructure.

IMPULSE project aims to transfer knowledge to professional staff working in geodetic administrations and other agencies responsible for spatial data infrastructure establishment and implementation in Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Kosovo, Macedonia). Project is financed by SIDA (started 2014 and it ends 2019), and has implemented by Swedish Geodetic Administration- Lantmäteriet and jounger partner- State Geodetic Administration Republic of Croatia.

BESTSDI (Western Balkans Academic Education Evolution and Professional’s Sustainable Training for Spatial Data Infrastructures)
is project of EU Erasmus + program (2016-2019) for improvement of higher education programs (geosciences, SDI and geodesy) by changing the curriculum and/or creating new master programs on the SDI topics. Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs is a part of this project, and a part of BESTSDI project Supervisory Board.

On behalf of the Federal Geodetic Administration was Mrs. Slobodanka Ključanin IMPULSE project coordinator for Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and head of the BESTSDI project behalf of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Sarajevo.
