Internet presentation regarding Land Registry data held

Via the Land Registry System "e-Grunt" from January 30, 2017 citizens of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have access to land registry data based on the number of parcels and the number of land registry folio, and at the same time they can monitor the status of cases in the land registry office.

This Project, within Real Estate Registration Project, was conducted by Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs and Federal Ministry of Justice.

This project is secured and maintenance of the land registry software "e-Grunt", which includes the regular quarterly visits to land registry offices, making new versions of software, maintenance of established VPN connection between land registries and a central location in the Federal Ministry of Justice.

During the presentation of the information system Mr. Željko Obradović, director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs emphasized the importance of this effort and work of all who have helped to implement the Project and to present it to the public. The project aims to create a single database of real estates, as well as simplicity and quick finding of the required information. The public will have opportunity to get an accurate, secure and reliable data on their real estate, which is the basis for resolving the fundamental issues in this area. All cadastral data are in a single database of real estate cadastre, and 67% of the land is in digital form. Digitalization of land registry is completed in whole, so director Obradović pointed out that Land Registry Book is fully digitized in Federation.

Mr. Mato Jozić, Federal Minister of Justice noted that data are protected according to the Law on protection of personal data and will not be misused. Such data are used by the police, notaries, lawyers and all people who are connected with land registry offices.

Special thanks goes for World Bank technical and financial support, whose representative also attended the presentation and addressed the audience. Ms. Tatjana Proskurjakova, the head of the World Bank Office in BiH pointed out that 500,000 people received direct assistance from better land management data within the Real Estate Registration Project.

At the end of the ceremony, Mr. Fadil Novalić, Prime Minister of FBiH tested the information system "e-Grunt", which will have impact on attracting domestic and foreign investment. Prime Minister FBiH expressed his satisfaction with this positive Project and pointed out that harmonized and accurate situation in the Land Administration Sector respectively in cadastre and land registry books together with spatial data is bases for successful restitution, credit support and market economy as a whole.
