INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION OF SURVEYORS-FIG CONGRESS

The Congress of the International Federation of Surveyors-FIG was held in period of 11-15 September 2022 in Warsaw, Poland. Besides the fact that the FIG Congress is one of the largest events in the calendar year in the geospatial world, Congress is the opportunity for gathering of the international community of surveyors and professionals through holding of a series interesting plenary and technical sessions, workshops, exhibitions and other cultural events.

FIG was funded 1878 and it is recognized non- governmental international professional organization of the United Nations and World Bank with more than 120 member organizations who measure, position, map, locate, asses and value, plan, build, develop and manage the land, seas and all man-made objects with a vision to expand the usefulness of the geodetic profession.

This year's Congress topic is “Volunteering for the future - Geospatial excellence for a better living” and the Conference served as an excellent opportunity to gain insight into future development in relevant fields, but also to study ideas and solutions which could help in daily operations in the Federal Geodetic Administration.

At the Conference presented the Expert study on „Digital transformation of public services of the land administration sector in Federation of BiH“ authored by Mr. Željko Obradović, Ms Andja Zimić and Mr. Denis Tabučić, and on this occasion the Conference was attended by Ms. Andja Zimić, CILAP Project director and Mr. Denis Tabučić, FGA Assistant Director.
