INSPIRE CONFERENCE 2017

INSPIRE conference 2017 was held on 4 and 5 September in Kehl, Germany and continued on 6-8 September in Strasbourg, France. By organizing the INSPIRE 2017 conference, Germany and France governments, in partnership with the European Commission, have wanted to emphasize the importance of cross-border co-operation, and to encourage the spatial data exchange for the benefit of citizens, the environment and the overall economy.

 More than 1,000 participants, such as policy makers, public and private sector, developers of data, service and application, experts and students have been participated at the INSPIRE conference.

The conference was organized through workshops, plenary and thematic meetings, posters, commercial exhibitions and social events.

A meeting of the National IMPULSE Project Coordinators, and an informative meeting of the Directors of Geodetic Administrations from the region involved in the IMPULSE Project, was also held during this INSPIRE conference. Within the regular INSPIRE conference workshops, a presentation of the IMPULSE Project implementation was held with a special emphasis on the benefits of this Project.

 The Conference was attended by Mr. Željko Obradović, the Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, Mrs. Slobodanka Ključanin, the IMPULSE project national coordinator for the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Mr. Nedim Hadžiosmanović, the member of the FGA IMPULSE team for the harmonization of spatial data.
