Information on visit to Kingdom of Sweden

Under CILAP (Capacity Building for Improvement of Land Administration in BH Project), a BH delegation visited on 2-4 September 2015 Lantmäteriet (Swedish mapping, cadastre, and rights registration authority) and Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation in the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden. The BH delegation comprised: Mr. Mato Jozić, Minister of Justice of FBH, Mme Lidija Bradara, Chairwoman of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of FBH, Mr. Edin Mušić, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of FBH, Mr. Željko Obradović, Director of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBH, Mr. Bajro Makić, Member of Parliament (SDA), Mr. Jusuf Bubica, Member of Parliament (BPS), and Mr. Salem Halilović, Member of Parliament (SBiH), Mr. Miloš Komljenović, Director of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of RS, Mr. Slavoljub Stojanović (Ministry of Finance of RS), Mme Brankica Grahovac (Ministry of Justice of RS), Mme Natalija Čulić (Tax Administration of RS), and Mr. Darko Mišković, Adviser in the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of RS. On the first day of the visit, Director Bengt Kjellson held a presentation in the offices of Lantmäteriet on the organization of the Swedish geodetic authority, and the results and advantages of merging the cadastral and land registry records. Namely, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden have similar history of origins and organization of land administration, and it was beneficial to hear about Swedish experiences with the organization, activities, and vision in the land administration sector. Assistant Director Mats Snäll then held a presentation on the new rights registration system in the Kingdom of Sweden. Current activities in the field of land administration in both countries and potential for exchange of the experience were then discussed in a joint discussion. Lantmäteriet has been providing support to the land administration sector in BH for three years now, particularly in the segment of capacity building and implementation of crucial projects in development of a quality cadastral and land registration system in both entities in BH. On the second day of the visit, BH delegation was received in the offices of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden in Stockholm where they spoke with representatives of the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation, headed by State Secretary Mr. Conny Wahlström and Mme Monica Lagerqvist-Nilsson. The delegation was briefed on the activities of the Ministry, and the experiences of the two countries in the domain of functioning of legislative and executive branches of government, and current situation in the field of economy and land administration were exchanged in the discussions. The BH representatives thanked especially the representatives of the Government of the Kingdom of Sweden for the support and assistance they are providing through implementation of various projects that are of crucial importance for development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly in the sector of land administration and real estate registration. This visit was organized by the CILAP Project and Project Director Mme Anđa Zimić, and the two entity-level administrations for geodetic and real property affairs.
