A second summer school of Erasmus+ program Geobiz Project was held in Dubrovnik City on 13-17 September 2021. Mr. Denis Tabucic, Assistant Director of FGA was held an invitational lecture “Future of geodesy and geoinformatics- from geodetic administration’s perspective”.
Within the summer school program was also held fourth Geobiz Supervisory Board chaired by Ms. Slobodanka Kljucanin- FGA representative, and it was discussed on realization of the Geobiz project, curriculum development, the form of realization of business-academic cooperation, and cooperation between universities and the private and public sector.
Main goal of Geobiz project is:
- establishment of new forms of cooperation between academic communities and business entities related to the process of training students and employees in the field of geoinformatics
- creating an appropriate platform to support excellence in geoinformatics,
- teacher training for using the geoinformatics in the real sector
- procurement of new equipment and technologies for training students and participants of lifelong learning for the spatial data use and processing
The role of geodetic administrations is to participate in the Supervisory Board work and to monitor the project work in order to get quality staff from the university that can easily fit into the daily activities of geodetic administrations.
