The Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs, within its jurisdiction, began the gravimetric survey of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project is funded from the donor funds of the CILAP project (Capacity Building for Improvement of Land Administration and Procedures in Bosnia and Herzegovina) and the Norwegian Regional Donor Project.
The Gravimetric Survey of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina implies the determination of acceleration of the Earth's hardness at all the points included in the high levelling network NVT3 and the detailed gravimetric survey of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The project encompassed 2700 points of NVT3 and 1500 points of detailed gravimetric survey distributed throughout the Federation of BiH.
On 22nd March 2019 the Contractor, Vekom Geo d.o.o. Belgrade, conducted field staff training, where training participants went through theoretical and practical work on gravimetric instruments Scintrex CG-5.
The activity plan foresees that field measurements will last 4 to 5 months and the end of the project is planned by the end of the year.
The Gravimetric Survey of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is another project that the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property Affairs is organizing as part of the introduction of new reference systems and the final determination of the geoid of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all in accordance with international norms, regulations and directives.
