The Council of European Geodetic Surveyors- CLGE together with the National Society of Professional Surveyors-NSPS and International Federation of Surveyors- FIG declared March 21 as the Global Surveyors’ Day with an aim to highlight the importance of geodesy and surveyors, their work and field work around the world.
Global Surveyors’ Day is a way to globally recognize the ground-breakers, individuals and the industry that has shaped a land surveying history and continues to be the foundation of geodetic community. Throughout history, surveyors have remained pioneers of discovery shaping our world to its current existence and exploring the unknown on Earth and space.
French mathematicians, astronomers and surveyors Mr. Jean-Baptiste, Mr. Joseph Delambre and Mr. Pierre François André Méchain were declared surveyors in 2023.
On this occasion, we congratulate all surveyors the Global Surveyors’ Day!
