FINAL WORKSHOP OF SPATIAL REGION PROJECT

Final workshop of the Spatial Region Project entitled „Future cooperation and strategic planning“ was held in Podgorica, Montenegro on 12 and 13 March 2019. The workshop was led by Kadaster experts Ms. Paula Djikstra, Mr. Dorus Kruse, Mr. Haico van der Vegt and Mr.Sanne Hekmen, on behalf of the Federal Geodetic Administration were Director, Mr. Željko Obradović, Coordinator of Spatial region project for Federation of BiH, Mr. Nikola Cvjetković, and Expert Advisor for Cadastre, Mr. Tomislav Tomić.

The Spatial Region Project was led by Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency- Kadaster with active cooperation of cadastral and cartographic agencies of the Western Balkan region. The project was focused on development of the spatial data infrastructure, address register, mass assessment of real estate, institutional strengthening, capacity building and other activities important for development of land administration sector.

On this workshop were presented project results so far, with an emphasis on bilateral and regional cooperation, with an aim of strengthening cooperation with all agencies in the region. Representatives of all agencies presented benefits and project results, as well as their own approaches to strategic planning. Exchange of experiences from institutions, and in particular the strategic planning methods presented by Kadaster representatives, allows the improvement of the strategic planning process itself.

The workshop showed that all agencies have clear and similar goals in Spatial Data Infrastructure development, which will surely result in continued cooperation with Kadaster.
