Council for Spatial Data Infrastructure FBiH meeting was held

In the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs on November 8, 2016 the fourth regular session of spatial data infrastructure (SDI) of the FBiH was held.

The establishment of the SDI FBiH will create the necessary conditions efficient collection, processing, standardization and use of spatial data at all levels of stakeholders and users. The three - year plan of SDI Council of Federation BiH was discussed and adopted at this Session.

According to adopted Plan a working group for institutional and legal issues is planned to be established during next three years, and one of the fundamental tasks of respective work group will be preparation of legislation related to Spatial Data Infrastructure and definition of framework for SDI data management in FBiH.

The adoption of SDI operator’s registry and SDI data sources registry and establishment of SDI Geoportal is planned also. Other working groups required for implementation of planned activities will be established also and continuous education of stakeholder’s employees and other interested parties of SDI of FBiH through workshops and seminars will be organized.
