The State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia organized the conference "Day of SDI 2021" which was held on October 20, 2021 in Rovinj, Republic of Croatia. This year's conference covered current topics in the field of spatial data infrastructure, and lectures divided into two sessions.
The conference was also attended by representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, Mr. Zeljko Obradovic, Director of the FGA, Mr. Denis Tabucic, Assistant Director in the Public Investment Project Management Sector and Mr. Jasmin Catic, consultant of CILAP project.
During the introductory speech, the Director of the Administration presented the current activities in the work of the FGA, the achieved results within the projects as well as the planned activities. Among other things, this year's conference included a round table where the main topic was “NSDI; where are we today? ”, where the Director participated together with the general director of the state geodetic administration of the Republic of Croatia and other participants. On that occasion, the Director of FGA presented results and planned activities in the field of spatial data infrastructure in the Federation of BiH. Mr. Tabucic gave a presentation on data integration and interoperability in the FBiH.
Through lectures and discussion were highlighted the importance of spatial data, the need for capacity development, the application of new technologies in SDI and the future of INSPIRE and SDI.
