CILAP Project Steering Committee held

A regular annual meeting of the Steering Committee of the Project “Capacity Building for Improvement of Land Administration and Procedures in Bosnia and Herzegovina”– CILAP was held in Banja Luka on February 2, 2022. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in Bosnia in Herzegovina, Ms. Johana Stromkvist joined the meeting and greeted the present participants and also emphasized the satisfaction of the continuous Swedish donor support to the Land Administration Sector in BiH.Ambassador Stromkvist also supported the possibility of future support in accordance with the recently adopted Strategy of the Kingdom of Sweden for Support of Reforms in the Balkans 2021-2027.

The Steering Committee meeting was attended by:

  • Ms. Eva Gibson Smedberg, representative of Swedish Embassy
  • Mr. Nedim Bukvic, representative of SIDA
  • Mr. Denis Tabucic, Assistant Director of FGA
  • Mr. Jasenko Nedinic, Assistant Director of RGA

At the meeting of the Steering Committe, the Progress report for Year 2021 was discussed and adopted, as well as the Work and Time plan for Year 2022, which is also the final year of phasing out period.

During the meeting, plans for future cooperation and support to the land administration sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina considering adopted Strategy of the Kingdom of Sweden for Support of Reforms in the Balkans 2021-2027 were discussed.

All participants expressed gratification with the implementation and results of the CILAP donor project and concluded that the support provided by this and similar projects is extremely important not only for the development of geodetic administrations as direct beneficiaries, but also for the overall improvement of Land Administration in BiH. The project activities contribute to economic and social development, sustainable property market, sustainable land use and EU accession, which are the overall development objective of the Project.
