21.03.2025 13:59

In the spirit of celebrating Global Surveyors' Day, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs extends its warmest congratulations to all geodetic professionals in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This Day is celebrated around the world with an aim of raising awareness on the importance of geodetic profession and its contribution to modern society. Global Surveyors' Day was established for the first time in 2018 by the joint initiative of the Council of European Geodetic Surveyors- CLGE, the National Society of Professional Surveyors-NSPS and International Federation of Surveyors- FIG.

Surveyors play a key role in spatial planning, keeping cadastral records, land management, construction and maintenance of spatial data infrastructure, as well as development of smart and sustainable communities. In the time of intense digital transformation and global climate challenges, the geodetic profession is becoming an important support in making informed and responsible decisions.

Using modern technologies such as GNSS, remote sensing, geoinformation systems and 3D modelling, the surveyors provide accurate and reliable spatial data that are the basis for the development of numerous sectors: urban planning, construction, environmental protection, transport, security and public administration.

Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs expresses its deep gratitude to all geodetic experts who, with their knowledge and dedication, contribute to the development of geodesy and the strengthening of spatial data infrastructure in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Happy Global Surveyors’ Day!
