The annual 2014 World Bank Conference on Land and Poverty, entitled „Integrating Land Governance into the Post-2015 Agenda: Harnessing Synergies for Implementation and Monitoring Impact“, was held at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, D.C. (USA) on March 24 – 27, 2014.

The conference was attended by representatives of Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, Director, Mr. Željko Obradović, and CILAP Project Coordinator, Mr. Nedžad Pašalić, and Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of the Republika Srpska, Director, Mr. Miloš Komljenović, and CILAP Project Coordinator, Mr. Darko Mišković, who were accompanied by CILAP Project Director, Ms. Anđa Zimić.

About 500 representatives from around the globe, who are primarily involved in the World Bank land administration projects, participated in the conference, along with representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG) and representatives of other institutions. In addition to considerations on how to integrate land governance into the post-2015 global society development agenda, the theme of this year’s conference was also the issue of women and minorities equality in land access and rights.

Mr. Željko Obradović, Ms. Anđa Zimić and Professor Željko Bačić presented a paper on capacity building under the World Bank Project and CILAP Project in Bosnia and Herzegovina, entitled „Building Capacity and Communication for Land Administration in BiH”.

A series of meetings with the World Bank representatives was held during the conference on implementation of the World Bank funded Real Estate Registration Project (RERP), which was launched in September last year. The main activity under this project is cadastre and land register data harmonization in urban areas.

Satisfaction with preparations and implementation of the activities so far was highlighted.
