A Meet of the Geodetic Administrations

A traditional meet of the geodetic administrations from BiH and the Republic of Croatia was organized on 28 – 30 May 2014 in Trebinje, which was, in addition to representatives of the State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH, the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of RS and representatives of the CILAP Project, also attended by representatives of the Republic Geodetic Authority of the Republic of Serbia.

The topic of the meet was ,,Exchange of Experiences on Cadastre Maintenance and Participation in International Projects“, and since this meet was preceded by a workshop under the CILAP Project at which the draft communications strategies for both entity-level geodetic administrations from BiH were elaborated, this opportunity was seized to present what was done to the management, which would as a final goal have further agreeing of the text and its adoption. Namely, the development of the Communications Strategy of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH is a part of the expressed need for improvement of the communications with public in order to enhance work of the Administration, as well as understanding of the activities by internal and external counterparts and the public at large.

Also, the participants of the meet were familiarized during the working part with the property recording and registration projects in the region through the presentations that were delivered by representatives of the Republic Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of RS, the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBiH and the State Geodetic Administration of the Republic of Croatia.

Satisfaction with the achievements was expressed at the end of the meet, as well as desire for further future cooperation, i.e., exchange of experiences and knowledge from the field of land administration between relevant regional geodetic authorities.
