WORKSHOP WITHIN THE SPATIAL II REGIONAL PROJECT

A workshop within the Spatial II Regional Project was held in Skopje, North Macedonia on 5-7 February 2020. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kingdom of Netherlands has previously approved a proposal for continuation of the Spatial II Regional Project in the Western Balkan region.

The new project phase will contain bilateral technical support for all organizations and regional activities as workshops and study visits. The use of the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework IGIF, which was developed by UN-GGIM in cooperation with the World Bank, is also planned. The IGIF will serve as general guideline for bilateral and regional support and important framework for focusing and shaping of donators international support for all cadastral and geodetic agencies all around the world.

During the workshop were also defined priorities and activities for support, which will be realized through the regional workshops, study visits and local missions of the Kadaster experts.

Besides the implementers and project beneficiaries on the workshop participated representatives of Lantmäteriet, Swedish Geodetic Authority; Kartverket, Norwegian Geodetic Authority and EuroGeographics.

On behalf of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs attended Mr. Tomislav Tomic, the expert advisor in Cadaster Sector and Mr. Denis Tabucic, expert advisor in Geoinformatics Sector.
