A workshop within the SPATIAL region project was held in Pristina from 10-12 September 2018. On the workshop participated Mr. Nikola Cvjetković and Mr. Tomislav Tomić from Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs and Mr. Dino Dragun from Municipality of Žepče as a consultant for Address Register, which was the theme of this two-day workshop. Main goal of this workshop was to strengthen institutional and organisational capacities of geodetic administrations and other bodies of public administration responsible for Address Register maintenance.

Through held presentations, interactive exercises and exchange of information, delegations met with the activities in countries from regions regarding maintenance of Address Register. Representatives of Kadaster presented obligations and role of their organisation as a coordinative body for the Address Register in Kingdom of Netherlands, with an accent on sharing data in public and private sector. Participants of the workshop had a chance to see the experiences of Den Haag City through the activity of collecting data on the Address Register in the field as well as developing procedures for quality control thereof.

The conclusion of the workshop is that in the countries of the region the activities of the creation and maintenance of the Address Register are carried out through the cooperation of geodetic administrations and local self-government units, and this form of exchange of knowledge and experience can contribute to the finding of adequate technical solutions.

The SPATIAL region project aims to strengthen the institutional and organizational capacity of geodetic administrations of the countries in the region in the context of providing services and products to targeted users, the establishment and development of Spatial Data Infrastructure, the establishment and development of the Address Register and implementing open data policies.
