The Contract on Additional Financing of the Real Estate Registration Project signed in Sarajevo

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Mr. Vjekoslav Bevanda and Head of the World Bank Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Emanuel Salinas signed the Contract on Additional Financing of the Real Estate Registration Project in the value of 20 million euros.

The Real Estate Registration Project is an important project, which continues the harmonization process between land registry and cadastral data in both entities. According to the signed contract, around 7.2 million euros will be allocated to the Federation of BiH, and around 12.8 million euros to the Republika of Srpska. The repayment period is 23 years, including a seven-year grace period and a favorable interest rate.

Main goal of the Real Estate Registration Project is providing constant support in sustainable land registration system with harmonized land registry and cadastral data in urban areas of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Srpska.

The existing Real Estate Registration Project was been implemented based on the concluded Financing Agreement between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Development Association from 25 January 2013, and it’s important to emphasize that activities of the existing Real Estate Registration Project continues by signing a contract on Additional Financing.

On this occasion, Minister Bevanda expressed his gratitude to the World Bank, which provides support in consulting work and financing projects, which contribute to a better quality of life of BiH citizens, but also the work of institutions that are at their service.

This Contract was signed without the usual ceremonies, due to prevent the Covid-19 spread.
