New Digital Orthophoto Maps for the Territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina available on FGA Geoportal

We are honoured to inform all users of geodetic and cadastral data of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs that new orthophoto records of the Federation of BiH are now available on FGA Geoportal.

The orthophoto recordings were made based on satellite records of the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The recording was made during second half of 2018 within the project “Development of Digital Orthophoto Maps for the Territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina” and records were made for whole territory of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a resolution of 40 cm.

The orthophoto is aerial/ satellite recording of the ground in digital raster form, which is specially corrected geometrically, it means orthorectified so that the scale on the overall recording is uniform. The orthophoto represents an irreplaceable basis in the context of monitoring changes in space, urbanism and spatial planning, designing and project implementation in area of agriculture, waterpower engineering, forestry and protection of environment.

At the beginning of next month will be published orthophoto records of urban parts of Federation of BiH in better resolution- 30 cm, and by that this project will be successfully finalized.
