Meeting with Una Sana Canton Representatives in Bihać

Representatives of the Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs of FBH, Mr. Željko Obradović, Director, Mr. Nedžad Pašalić, Deputy Director and Head of the Real Estate Registration Project Implementation Unit, Mr. Zijad Džananović, Inspector, and Mr. Edib Mehmedović, Land Administration Consultant, held a working meeting with the Una Sana Canton's representatives.

On behalf of the Una Sana Canton, Mr. Izudin Saračević, Prime Minister, and Mme Sabina Beganović, Minister of Justice and Administration, received the FGA's representatives. The meeting was also attended by the presidents of the municipal courts and representatives of the municipalities Bihać, Cazin, and Velika Kladuša.

The objective of the meeting focused primarily on preparation and implementation of the activities under the Real Estate Registration Project from 2015 – 2018. The key Project activity is aimed at harmonization of the real estate cadastre and land registry records. It was noted that it would be a very complex and demanding activity, which would require full engagement and involvement of the relevant authorities from all levels of the government. Some ambiguities were clarified through conversation and discussion during the meeting. It was also agreed that the implementation of the aforementioned project activities would already commence in the coming days.

It was also mentioned by the FGA that the support would be provided to day-to-day operations of the relevant municipal services through procurement of the required office equipment, hardware, and office supplies, as well as through enhancement and maintenance of the cadastre and land registry software. In order to further assist the operations of the land registry offices, additional number of bachelors of laws, i.e., temporary land registry clerks, will be hired to work throughout the Project's duration.
