Lectures „Cadastre and Geodetic Projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina“

As part of a colloquium organized by University of Zagreb Faculty of Geodesy's Department for Satellite Geodesy, Željko Obradović, Director of Federal Administration for Geodetic and Real Property Affairs, delivered on 22 April 2014 a lecture entitled „Cadastre and Geodetic Projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina“, which was attended by professors and students from the Faculty of Geodesy.

The attendees were greeted prior to the lecture by Prof. Dr. Željko Bačić, Head of the Department for Satellite Geodesy of the Faculty of Geodesy, and Prof. Dr. Miodrag Roić, Dean of the Faculty of Geodesy.

In his lecture, Željko Obradović highlighted current activities of the Federal Administration with a special emphasis on preparation and implementation of land administration projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and role of the domestic cadastral agencies. There was a special interest in the part of the lecture on the software for cadastre maintenance in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This application (katastar.ba) is a part of a single cadastre information system of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and represents a complex information system for creation, maintenance and distribution of cadastre data on the level of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Issuance of official documents is enabled through the functions of the register katastar.ba, while updating of the cadastral records with changes is ensured through the functions for conducting administrative proceedings.

The lecture was followed by a discussion through which further information was provided on current cadastral and geodetic activities and perspectives in both Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia and the region.
